Here's Why Pets Love Coming to Vogue Vets
At Vogue Vets, we all love animals. So, as soon as your pet walks through our door, we are ready with a welcoming pat, cuddle, and softly spoken words. Your pet will also receive a yummy treat every time they visit- what better way to make their trip worthwhile?
We understand that, whilst dogs may LOVE to investigate cats, the feeling is certainly not mutual! Feeling safe and secure in a relaxed and friendly environment is important to them. Therefore, to maximise the comfort of both our cat and dog patients, we have separate cat and dog consult rooms and hospital facilities, which ensures their visit is as relaxing as possible.
We're Here For You
We believe that your pets are highly valued members of your family and, as such, we treat your pets as we would treat our own.
This means that the service you receive is caring, personalised, and tailored to suit your individual needs.
We know that preventative medicine helps to keep your pets healthy, and this offers the best chance to keep them happy and part of your family life for many years to come.
To make this easy for you, we send reminders when preventative treatment milestones are reached for your pet, and we outline any treatment plans so that they are easy for you to manage at home. This takes the worry out of remembering what to do so that you can concentrate on life's other events.
We Look Forward to Seeing You...
Vogue Vets’ Mascot
Leroy came into us as an injured stray, shortly after we opened in 2011. We nursed him back to health, and he can now be found chirping merrily away in reception, or in the front garden. His happy singing puts a smile on all our faces and he loves nothing more than to sing to everyone that comes through the door.
Dr. Francesca Pagnacco
Dr Fran Pagnacco grew up and was educated in Perth and did her Veterinary training at Murdoch University, graduating in 1999. After working in Perth’s outer suburbs for 2 years, Fran travelled to the UK and worked in a country small animal practice for just under a year.
She returned to Perth and worked at a small animal clinic in the western suburbs for 7 years, where she enjoyed being both the senior Veterinarian as well as the Practice Manager. At that stage, her husband’s job required a move overseas and she again returned to work in the UK in 2008 for another 12 months. After a year of grey skies and cold weather, however, she was extremely happy to return permanently to Perth’s sunshine and outdoor lifestyle.
Fran purchased the Dog Swamp Veterinary Hospital in July, 2011, and has spent much of her time since then rebranding the practice as Vogue Vets. Whilst renovations and modernising the practice equipment has kept her busy, Fran still ensures that she undertakes regular “continuing veterinary education” seminars, and recently completed a post graduate course in “Anaesthetic Emergencies” through the University of Sydney.
Fran loves to work with all small animals, and although she adores dogs and loves Canine Medicine, she has developed a particular fascination for Feline Medicine, which is still an area in which veterinary knowledge is constantly changing and growing.Fran has 2 very handsome little cats called Matthew & Fergal, and has a beautiful Golden Retriever called Ami
Dr Tara Pike
Dr Tara Pike also grew up and graduated from Murdoch University Veterinary School in 1996.
Tara started her veterinary career in the Perth hills, where she worked as a small animal veterinarian for 3.5 years before going overseas. She spent the next 2.5 years travelling extensively through Europe, working at veterinary clinics in between her travels.
After settling back into Perth, Tara worked locally in Perth for 6 years before starting a family. At this point she switched to part time veterinary work and is now kept extremely busy sharing her time between her 3 children, a part time job at Curtin University, and working part time here at Vogue Vets.
Tara has been with us since we started Vogue Vets and is interested in general Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.
Dr Libby Beresford
Dr Libby Beresford also grew up in Perth and graduated from the Murdoch University Veterinary School, in 1987. Libby likes to study! She has a special interest in both anaesthesia and cardiology, and has spent 3 years working at Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital in both of those fields. In 1992, Libby then excelled in further canine medicine studies, successfully passing the exams, which resulted in the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists awarding her with her Memberships in Canine Medicine.
Libby has 2 beautiful Burmese cats, Benson & Lola, and a gorgeous Schnauzer, called Holli.
When she is not ferrying her family between sporting events, Libby works part time with us at Vogue Vets.
Nurse Justine Clements
Veterinary Nurse & Receptionist
Justine is well known by all our clients as she has worked at this
practice for over 8 years. She first started at the practice as a new graduate Veterinary Nurse when it was located in Osborne Park, and
relocated with the Veterinarian to the existing premises in 2005. Her
loyalty and passion for the practice are very apparent, and her
compassion, nursing experience and work ethics make her an invaluable
member of the Vogue Vets team. Justine is shortly about to go on Maternity Leave, but she will be re-joining us late in 2017.
Nurse Michelle Emmerson
Veterinary Nurse & Receptionist
Michelle has been with us since shortly after Vogue Vets opened. She
graduated from Veterinary Nursing in 2011 and joined our team later that year.
Michelle is always bright and cheerful, and ready to greet you with a smile when you come through the door. She enjoys both Surgical Nursing and Reception, and has taken on our Weight Loss Clinics and Feline Blood Pressure Monitoring Clinics with a lot of enthusiasm.
In addition to this, and together with Justine, Michelle also undertakes Nurse consultations for those routine visits like nail clipping as well as running Puppy Classes.
Michelle and her Cavoodle, Max, are regulars at the dog beach, and she also has two extremely handsome cats called Red & Harry.
Nurse Brooke Gallivan
Veterinary Nurse & Receptionist
Brooke has been a fantastic addition to our Vogue Vets Team. She joined us as a recently graduated Veterinary Nurse earlier this year, 2016 and has taken to the job with great enthusiasm. While Brooke is only relatively new to Nursing, she has quickly found her feet, and fulfills both her Surgical Nursing and Reception roles efficiently and with a friendly and compassionate manner. Once her in clinic training is complete, Brooke will be assisting Michelle with our Veterinary Nurse Wellness Clinics.
Brooke has a beautiful kitten called "Nahla", who she rescued as a stray shortly after starting at Vogue.
