Here's Why Pets Love Coming to Vogue Vets

At Vogue Vets, we all love animals.  So, as soon as your pet walks through our door, we are ready with a welcoming pat, cuddle, and softly spoken words. Your pet will also receive a yummy treat every time they visit- what better way to make their trip worthwhile?

We understand that, whilst dogs may LOVE to investigate cats, the feeling is certainly not mutual!  Feeling safe and secure in a relaxed and friendly environment is important to them.  Therefore, to maximise the comfort of both our cat and dog patients, we have separate cat and dog consult rooms and hospital facilities, which ensures their visit is as relaxing as possible.

We Look Forward to Seeing You...

Vogue Vets’ Mascot

Leroy came into us as an injured stray, shortly after we opened in 2011. We nursed him back to health, and he can now be found chirping merrily away in reception, or in the front garden. His happy singing puts a smile on all our faces and he loves nothing more than to sing to everyone that comes through the door.

Dr. Francesca Pagnacco

Principal Veterinarian

Dr Fran Pagnacco grew up and was educated in Perth and did her Veterinary training at Murdoch University, graduating in 1999. After working in Perth’s outer suburbs for 2 years, Fran travelled to the UK and worked in a country small animal practice for just under a year.

She returned to Perth and worked at a small animal clinic in the western suburbs for 7 years, where she enjoyed being both the senior Veterinarian as well as the Practice Manager. At that stage, her husband’s job required a move overseas and she again returned to work in the UK in 2008 for another 12 months. After a year of grey skies and cold weather, however, she was extremely happy to return permanently to Perth’s sunshine and outdoor lifestyle.

Fran purchased the Dog Swamp Veterinary Hospital in July, 2011, and has spent much of her time since then re-branding the practice as Vogue Vets. Whilst renovations and modernising the practice equipment has kept her busy, Fran still ensures that she undertakes regular “continuing veterinary education” seminars, particularly subjects in feline medicine and small animal behaviour.

Fran has 2  handsome little cats called Matthew & Fergal, and a beautiful Golden Retriever called Ami

Dr Tara Pike

Dr Tara Pike also grew up and graduated from Murdoch University Veterinary School in 1996.  Tara started her veterinary career in the Perth hills, where she worked as a small animal veterinarian for  3.5 years.

After settling back into Perth, Tara worked locally in Perth for 6 years before starting a family. At this point she switched to part time veterinary work and is now kept extremely busy sharing her time between her 3 children, a part time job at Curtin University, and working part time here at Vogue Vets. before going overseas. She spent the next 2.5 years travelling extensively through Europe, working at veterinary clinics in between her travels.

Tara has been with us since we started Vogue Vets and is interested in general Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.  Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her family and ferrying them between various sporting events!

Dr Libby Beresford

Dr Libby Beresford also grew up in Perth and graduated from the Murdoch University Veterinary School, in 1987.  Libby likes to study! She has a special interest in both anaesthesia and cardiology, and has spent 3 years working at Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital in both of those fields. In 1992, Libby then excelled in further canine medicine studies, successfully passing the exams, which resulted in the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists awarding her with her Memberships in Canine Medicine.

Libby works part time between Vogue Vets and the Claremont Veterinary Hospital, so she doesn't have a lot of spare time!  What little she has, she spends with her family and her cheeky & energetic Dachsund, Lola.

Dr Sarah Reid

Dr Sarah Reid is a 2001 Murdoch University Vet School Graduate and has spent her career working in small animal practice in rural Western Australia, the UK and Perth.

She joined us at Vogue Vets on a part time basis in May, 2018, and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery.  Her favourite procedure is a prophylactic gastropexy to prevent splenic torsion in at risk breeds, having had 3 Great Danes herself.

When Sarah is not working, she enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with her partner, little girl & 2 dogs.

She first started at the practice as a graduate Veterinary Nurse when it was located in Osborne Park, and relocated with the Veterinarian to the existing premises in 2005. Her loyalty and passion for the practice are very apparent, and her compassion, nursing experience and work ethics make her an invaluable member of the Vogue Vets team.
